Love the comic!

With comic movies becoming such a hot property I wonder how long before we see the this article optioned for a movie.

I'd go see the movie based upon the article based upon the movie based upon the comic!

Hey, I was going to ask you...

I heard a story on NPR this morning about how someone is going to revive Captain Planet. And that got me thinking about how you like to re-imagine classic characters. How would you retool Captain America for the kids of today?

Captain America? I would make him quite ugly! Same costume, but just a drooling, ugly mug. Speech impediment too. He would always try to lead people but they just refuse to believe this hideous retarded-sounding man could possibly be of any use.

Every issue would end with him crying.

I would have him like the Littlest Hobo, traveling from planet to planet solving global crimes. He does so because he is constantly on the run from Galactus who mistakenly thinks he is a planet.

I like the little touches, the V mask on Moore's desk, the Speedball movie, etc..

It would be fun of there was a whole book like this for all the comic book movies. Assuming there are enough differences in all the stories.

Thanks! I snuck a lot into the final, some of which is too small to make out online or ended up getting covered by word balloons. The hardest part was mimicking Higgins' colour palette!

i mixed up the date of the journal entry with the date in the entry and thought it said hayter turned in a post 9/11 adaptation on march 4, 2001. i was going to ask how he wrote a post 9/11 version 6 months before 9/11. i'm glad THAT got sorted out!
